Matt is a creative, field, archival and story documentary producer. After spending his 20s in activism and education, he made the leap to long-form indie feature docs and doc-series. Matt co-produced TYING THE KNOT. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and won best documentary at the Frameline International Film Festival. It was picked up for theatrical-release nationwide by art house distributor Roadside Attractions, followed by many years on Netflix. He produced the indie doc
FOUR SEASONS LODGE, which premiered at AFI's festival. It was distributed theatrically and on PBS and is now streaming on Amazon.
Matt’s work in field-producing, casting, story-producing and directing on docu-series can be seen on HBO Max, Sundance Channel, Nat Geo Wild, History Channel, Vice, Oxygen and more. Matt was the archival producer for HOLLYWOOD IN UTAH on PBS; the feature doc JEWELLE, A JUST VISION, for QWOCMAP; the Cabbage-Patch Kids documentary BILLION DOLLAR BABIES (for Universal and Believe Entertainment) and series for Netflix, AMC, YouTube, History Channel amongst others.
As Director/Producer, he is currently developing the feature documentary, BEATLESFEST.
